We, the Parents for Public Schools of San Francisco, strongly oppose the San Francisco Unified School District’s proposal to close our neighborhood schools, as it fails to address budgetary issues and threatens our communities. With 51.3% of our district's students being Significant Economically Disadvantaged and many lacking adequate representation in decision-making processes, the plan prioritizes justifications for closures over genuine community input. We urge the Board of Education and the Board of Supervisors to listen to affected families and reject these harmful school closures to protect our essential community resources.
