June 7 - SFUSD will post results of Round 2 on ParentVue in the Documents tab and mail hard copy letters to your mailing address. If you are assigned a school on your Round 2 list, you automatically give up your Round 1 spot.

June 18 - Deadline to accept/decline your assigned school. There is a form included with your hard copy letter, as well as instructions on how to accept/decline via ParentVue using Online Forms. This is also the deadline to submit a Medical or Hardship Appeal. A Medical or Hardship Appeal must be accompanied by a Wait Pool Application listing the school you appeal to.

If you have questions about Round 2, SFUSD has updated its Frequently Asked Questions list.

Wait Pool is open now - To continue in the enrollment process after Round 2, you can submit a Wait Pool request—a single school that you would like to apply for. Like other rounds, SFUSD uses tiebreakers to assign students to open seats.

PPS recommends that you submit a request by July 19, the day that Open Enrollment begins. Any school that has open places and no Wait Pool requests on that date will be available for Open Enrollment so make sure you put your preference in soon.

July 6 to July 16 - Newcomer Open Enrollment for families who are new to San Francisco or who have not yet applied to SFUSD.

July 16 - SFUSD will post a list of potential Open Enrollment openings here.

July 19 - Open Enrollment sign-up begins at 8AM for families who have applied in Round 1 or Round 2. EPC counsellors will call those who sign-up on a first come, first served basis about schools with open seats and zero Wait Pool requests. Those who cannot sign-up using the online form can call the EPC for help.

August 11 - Last day to submit a Wait Pool request.

August 16 to Sept 3 - EPC counsellors will contact families on Wait Pool lists as schools open for the new academic year. Notifications will be made by phone call and families will have a short period to accept or decline the Wait Pool offer, to allow EPC to then offer the spot to another interested family.
