PPS-SF At Work: ParentVue Workshop with Seven Teepees

To say there is a lot going on in San Francisco right now, would be a bit of an understatement. The same can be said for the work PPS-SF is doing, we want to highlight some of the work done by Martha Montufar, PPS-SF’s Bilingual Program Manager.

Earlier this month, Martha gave a presentation on ParentVue, to 20 Seven Teepees Youth Program families. In an effort to support this sensitive moment, Martha co-presented with Seven Teepees on current COVID information, self-care, and upcoming PPS-SF wellness checks. They covered information about the safety of the vaccine and locations for vaccines and testing.

Martha’s guided participants through the importance of using ParentVue and how it can be utilized for checking grades, communication with teachers, the value of having accurate information in ParentVue, and that their information is secure. PPS-SF Parent Leaders supported throughout the presentation and introduced themselves as community resources. Participants left feeling well-informed and ready to activate their ParentVue account. This is one of the many ways PPS-SF successfully collaborates with community organizations and SFUSD to bring valuable information and build capacity among families to support student learning in San Francisco. A big shout-out to Martha and Parent Leaders on an amazing event!
