The Latest on Summer Camps, Internships, and Summer Learning in San Francisco

Summer Break is just around the corner and many questions remain for families about what the summer will look like for students.

In-person Camps Authorized to Open June 15

On Friday, May 22, Mayor London Breed announced a new health order authorizing summer camps to begin operation if they follow stringent health and safety guidelines issued by the city.

These guidelines include keeping students in pods of no more than 12 and requiring that all camp sessions operate for a minimum of 3 weeks.

To see the most up-to-date information about summer programs and sign-up for updates go to https://www.dcyf.org/care or call 311.

The Department of Recreation and Parks will be offering camps with registration starting on June 6,

Many other programs and private camps who are able to follow the health order will also be able to make camps available starting June 15.
