PPS-SF Attended the Kindergarten to College's (K2C) Celebration

Kindergarten to College (K2C) was established Spring of 2011 to bring to life the first universal children savings account in the nation.

On April 26, the PPS-SF team had the pleasure to attend K2C’s 10-year celebration of their college program. PPS-SF Executive Director Vanessa Marrero and Community Outreach Associate Dorothy Clark attended the event in support of K2C’s dedication for equitable financial access of higher education.

Thanks to K2C, every kindergartner in SF public schools has a college savings account automatically opened by the City of San Francisco along with a $50 incentive.

Ten years later, K2C has expanded the program to where they have opened up 49,000 accounts with over $11 million saved for their children’s futures.

PPS-SF is proud to work closely and partner with K2C!
