PPS-SF seeks to ensure that public education policy reflects the input of parents - who are key partners in its implementation. Through its trusted solutions-oriented relationship with the district, PPS-SF is uniquely positioned as a key community partner and serves a critical role in bringing parent perspective to SFUSD and other key stakeholders to promote systems change, transparency and to ensure development and implementation of quality programming for public schools serving all San Francisco children.
PPS-SF staff and parent volunteers serve on citywide policy-making bodies focusing on school reform and children such as the Preschool for All Advisory Committee, Afterschool for All Council, the San Francisco Family Support Network Policy Committee, the Bi-lingual Community Council, SF Arts Education Masterplan, District English Learner Advisory Committee (DELAC), Prop A Oversight Committee and others as needed.
