PPS-SF Enrollment Coaches are parents like you, who have mastered the enrollment process and want to help others as well as promote our public schools. We want to support you as you learn the ins and outs of how to present the information and answer parents’ questions. To get trained, you will participate in PPS-SF’s three-part enrollment coach training. Then you give presentations or lead discussions at PPS-SF enrollment events and at preschools or parent organizations based on your availability.
How to Become a PPS-SF Enrollment Coach
If you are a parent in a public school and would like to help other parents through the enrollment process, it’s easy to become certified as a PPS-SF Enrollment Coach! We also recommend parents who lead school tours attend the 2 hour information session in order to answer basic questions about enrollment.
Training – what's involved
Step 1: attend a 2 hour information session at our office to learn details about how the enrollment process works
Step 2: shadow our knowledgeable staff at an enrollment presentation to see a presentation and hear a typical Q&A
Step 3: Co-lead an enrollment presentation with one of PPS-SF staff to practice your new-found skills as an Enrollment Coach
Who may elect to become certified?
This is a great opportunity to:
PPS-SF School Ambassadors share their perspectives about public schools with prospective parents – which is good for everyone. Schools with PPS-SF School Ambassadors see a major increase in enrollment because when prospective parents connect with current public school parents, they are more likely to tour and ultimately enroll. And Incoming parents get the information they need from a trusted parent to make a very important decision.
If you would like to become a PPS-SF School Ambassador, please contact us at info@ppssf.org. Please submit your contact information and the school(s) you would like to represent. (Note: We will contact you and ask that you get in touch with the prospective parent. PPS will not release your contact information.) For more information on becoming an ambassador see our Ambassador Brochure (pdf).
