Fall
Attend school events to get to know school communities and activities. See our Calendar for upcoming events.

Late September
Start contacting schools to sign up for a tour. See our School Tours page for a list of schools and tour days.

October to January
Tour schools – Call the school to arrange for tours. Contact charter schools individually for their enrollment procedures and deadlines.

November
Saturday, November 13: Attend the SFUSD Enrollment Fair to talk to staff, principals and parents from all SFUSD elementary schools.

December
Narrow your choices. Contact PPS-SF to speak to Parent Ambassadors for your top choices.
Lowell HS: Submit a separate Lowell application along with your SFUSD application. Date tba.
SOTA HS: Visual Art & Creative Writing portfolios due. Date tba, noon
SOTA HS: Deadline to submit application packet to SOTA office and sign up for an audition date. Auditions can fill up so apply as early as possible. Date tba, 3pm

February 18, 2011: Turn in applications

March
Assignments are mailed.
Tour and register at assigned school.
