Schools with active Ambassadors have had double- and triple-digit increases in enrollment requests two years in a row.

Parent Ambassadors

When parents make a personal connection with another parent they are more likely to visit a school, consider it for their child and ultimately enroll in that school.
Our Parent Ambassador Network has more than 300 Ambassadors at most schools in San Francisco. PPS-SF Parent Ambassadors connect with prospective parents to share their perspective of their school.

Become a PPS-SF Parent Ambassador

We encourage each school to have several Parent Ambassadors, to give parents several perspectives on a school. We are also looking for ambassadors who can give a specific perspective, such as Special Education, Inclusion, LGBT and Spanish and Chinese speakers. If you would like to become a PPS-SF Parent Ambassador for your school, please contact Vicki Symonds at vicki@ppssf.org. Please submit your contact information and the school(s) you would like to represent. All information is kept confidential for PPS use only and will not be distributed to anyone else.

Request to speak to a PPS-SF Parent Ambassador

HIGHLIGHTS

“As a result of my phone call to PPS, I received an outpouring of support. Literally overnight, I was sent many, many emails from concerned parents. Each one provided additional insight into their school and offered to answer any questions I have during my search.

I now have confidence in knowing there will be several "good fits" for my children. My belief in public education has been reaffirmed with this first and very positive experience.”
