Attend one of PPSF Elementary School Enrollment Workshops
Enrollment workshops are held at public libraries throughout San Francisco. Meet parents from public schools, find out how the Public School Enrollment process works, and get tips on key information and resources. Please see the Calendar for dates and locations.
November (School Fair) 2011
Saturday, November 5 10am-3pm: Attend the SFUSD Enrollment Fair to talk to staff, principals and parents from all SFUSD elementary schools. Concourse Exhibition Center, 635 8th Street, San Francisco, CA 94103
Applications are available from the school fair, Educational Placement Center (EPC) at 555 Franklin St, or download from www.sfusd.edu/enroll.
December 2011 to January 2012

Lowell and SOTA
Friday December 2nd, 2011 at 3:00pm: Ruth Asawa School of the Arts High School deadline to submit application packet to SOTA office and sign up for the January 7th audition date. Auditions can fill up so apply as early as possible. Visual Art, Media & Creative Writing portfolios due.

Friday December 16, 2011: Lowell High School application deadline. Submit a separate Lowell application along with your SFUSD application.

March 16th, 2012
- Assignments are mailed.
- Note: Schools will be closed March 26th to March 30th for Spring Break.
March 19th - April 13, 2012
- Register at your assigned school to accept the district's offer by this date. Registering does not affect your chances in future placement runs for a school you would prefer.
- Submit application for second placement period if you want to try for a more preferred school.
- Submit a Family or Medical appeal.
- There are no appeals or additional placement runs for Lowell High School.
May 2012
- Second placement period
June 2012
- Open enrollment begins
Summer 2012
- Additional placement periods will occur August/Early September
