PPS-SF Board Elections and Business*

New Board Member Nominees:

Matthew Kelemen: Matthew Kelemen currently serves as Senior Program Officer for youth at The James Irvine Foundation and has had extensive senior staff and management experience at SFUSD.  He has two children, including an incoming public school kindergartener.

Mario Paz: Mario Paz is the Executive Director of the Good Samaritan Family Resource Center in San Francisco and has been a passionate nonprofit and public service leader and advocate for children, youth, families and communities for more than 20 years.  He has two children.

Elaine Wang:  Elaine Wang currently serves on the Parent Action grant program for the First Five Children and Families Commission.  She has a son at Argonne Elementary School and a two-year-old daughter.

Amendment to PPS-SF Bylaws

ARTICLE XIV.  Amendment of Constitution and Bylaws
Section 1.  These Bylaws may be amended by a vote of two-thirds of the Board of Directors membership present in person or through delegates at any meeting of the membership, provided however, that so long as this Chapter is a member organization in Parents for Public Schools, Inc., any amendments to the Bylaws of this Chapter shall be subject to the approval of Parents for Public Schools, Inc., and that all amendments be ratified by the membership.
